Dublin singer Lucy O'Byrne is reportedly planning an album with American superstar Will.i.am after she sang her way to second place on The Voice UK on Saturday evening. The 23-year-old, who stunned the judges and viewers with her soaring soprano voice, is said to be heading into the recording studio with her famous mentor. Lucy lost out to favourite Stevie McCrorie on the night, despite performing a stunning version of Radiohead's No Surprises . “Will and his manager, who was integral in his career with the Black Eyed Peas, have been incredibly supportive and have so much belief in me and my career and also in the possibilities of merging two genres for an album,” Lucy told the Irish Mirror. Lucy performing with Will.i.am on Saturday.  “So hopefully something will become of that,” she continued. “It's very exciting “This competition has opened so many doors for me and I've had such a wonderful time. “I never considered a recording career would be possible before until I kept getting through rounds of The Voice,” she added. “I'm extremely proud of myself and how well I did,” she reflected. “I never thought I'd get that far and to be the first classical singer to get to the live show is a huge privilege and honour to represent my genre. “I'm still walking on air,” she said. “Who knows what will happen...
