It seems that this year’s Eurovison Song Contest might not be filled with has-beens and wannabes as Girls Aloud could be taking to the stage for the UK.
According to reports this morning the BBC have approached the girls, who reformed last year for their ten-year anniversary, to discuss the idea of them singing for their country in Sweden this May.
The project could also see Cheryl Cole and co team up with her close friend Will.i.am who is in the frame to produce the track.

The Black Eyed Peas singer might have a part to play in the UK entry.
But the band might have some strong competition on their hands as the Sugababes have also been linked to the contest.
Then again, perhaps the Sound of the Underground stars are happy to let their former pop rivals take the risk of ruining their music careers as has been known to happen to previous acts.
Dance group Cascada are hoping to the take to the stage on behalf of Germany while the Irish act has not yet been chosen.

Cascada is another familiar face that could appear on stage in May.
