Proving that talent runs in the family, Amy Winehouse’s goddaughter, Dionne Bromfield, has written a moving tribute to the late singer.
The Huffington Post reports that Dionne, who was the last person to appear ons tage with Amy before her death, is determined to continue her godmother’s musical legacy.
Amy Winehouse was tragically found dead in her London home on the 23rd of July 2011.
The teen singer has reportedly recorded a new track called ‘Black Butterfly’ in honour of Amy and reveals that she was inspired to write the song after she saw a black butterfly perched on Kelly Osbourne’s shoulder during Amy’s funeral.

“I want to continue Amy’s legacy. It’s an awful lot of pressure but it’s also a massive compliment to think that I can. I was the last person she was with on stage and autoatically people felt like that was saying something...” said Dionne.
“The song is called Black Butterfly. There was a black butterfly that flew in at Amy’s funeral and it landed on Kelly Osbourne’s shoulder. It stayed there for the whole service and then flew out as soon as the service had finished. It’s probably the best song I’ve ever written and I was crying when I recorded it,” she added.
Dionne is currently travelling around the island of St Lucia, a favourite place of Amy’s, to follow in her godmother’s footsteps and to help preserve her legacy.

The singer is viewing the trip as a pilgrimage and is hoping that she will find some inspiration for her third album while she’s on the island.
“I hadn’t been back here since I first came with Amy five years ago. I wanted to come back because of Amy and to see some of the places which she loved. Amy is definitely here with me,” she said.
