#IndieAmnesty – Music Fans Are Sharing Their Mortifying Memories On Twitter

Who among us described themselves as 'indie' when they were a teen? I can't say I was immune, so this trend on Twitter has really spoken to me. There was a certain era of music that happened throughout the 2000s, characterised by curly haired white men and guitars, and bands like The Strokes, We Are Scientists, The Rakes, and regrettably, The Pigeon Detectives. People have been tweeting today about the most quintessentially indie moments that ever happened in their lives and it is simultaneously mortifying and so gas. Here are just a few of the best.
