Music fans fresh home from Electric Picnic on a bit of a downer have just had their Monday seriously brightened up by the news that the sensational Royal Blood will headline The Academy, Dublin on October 27th.
The duo release their eagerly anticipated self-titled debut album on August 22nd, which immediately topped the charts and made history as the first ever rock album that doesn't have a guitar to take the number one slot in Ireland.
The band’s unmistakable ferocity is the result of just two men from Brighton, lead vocalist and bassist Mike Kerr and drummer Ben Thatcher.
No strangers to Irish shores, the band enjoyed a sell-out show in Dublin’s The Workman’s Club back in March and returned as special guests for Arctic Monkeys at Marlay Park, one of the greatest opening sets we've ever witnessed.
The duo’s remarkable breakthrough has found them securing slots on music shows such as, Later With Jools Holland and The Jimmy Kimmel Show.
Tickets for the October 27th gig at The Academy go on sale Friday September 5th at 9am from Ticketmaster priced €20 including booking fee.
