Ryan Adams has cancelled his UK and Ireland tour following allegations of sexual misconduct and abuse. The US singer was due to play two shows in Dublin's Olympia Theatre on March 30 and 31. A number of the women, including one who was underage, also claimed that Adams was sexually inappropriate with them. Adams has denied all allegations. The New York Times reported that the singer used his position in the music industry to dangle "career opportunities while simultaneously pursuing female artists for sex." A 20-year-old woman, named as 'Ava', said that Adams had inappropriate conversations with her when she was 15 and 16-years-old and that he exposed himself to her on a video call. Mandy Moore, who was married to Adams between 2009 and 2016, said that "music was a point of control for him." "His controlling behaviour essentially did block my ability to make new connections in the industry during a very pivotal and potentially lucrative time — my entire mid-to-late 20s," she said. Ina series of tweets last month, Adams said that he was "not a perfect man" but maintained that the accusations were false.
