A major concert announcement is to be made this Friday at Croke Park.
A press conference will take place at the venue on Friday morning to confirm the act and the date of the upcoming concert, with no further details provided as yet.
The last announcement to take place at Croke Park was to launch Garth Brooks' ill-fated run of performances but Aiken Promotions has recently stated that there are "no plans" for the country singer to play in Ireland this year.
One Direction fans have also been quick to suggest that the five-piece could be set to return to the stadium as part of their On The Road Again world tour.
