Netflix to add final Grace and Frankie episodes next month

Ellen Fitzpatrick

Finally.

The date for the final episodes of Grace and Frankie has finally been announced and we don’t have long to wait for it.

The long running Netflix series is set to come to an end on April 29th after seven seasons on the streaming platform, and they’re promising to give them a good send off.

The sitcom announced on Twitter on Tuesday that the show would be ending, saying that “the sun’s about to set” and they’re “just getting lit”.

The production on the latest series was halted due to Covid-19, with four episodes of the seventh season dropping in August last year before it was announced that more were on the way.

Making the announcement on August 13, Lily Tomlin and Jane Fonda appeared in a short clip to explain that they missed their viewers but noted that it was much more important that the viewers missed them.

Jokingly interrupting each other, they promised that they were hard at work filming the new series and now we’ll get a glimpse of it next month.

If you haven’t been watching the show (there’s still so much time to catch up FYI), it centres around Grace and Frankie’s friendship after they discover their rich husbands have been secretly in a relationship together for decades.
