Netflix confirms Sex/Life will be back for a second series

The hugely popular show ended on a cliffhanger, and fans cannot wait to see what happens next.

Fans of Netflix’s hit TV show Sex/Life will be delighted to hear that a second season is on the way.

The streaming platform confirmed the news by sharing a video on Twitter.

They wrote: “Sex/Life has been renewed for Season 2!

“The first season was watched by 67 Million households – and 20 million of us rewound *that* scene at least once.”

The accompanying video is a compilation of scenes from the steamy show, as well as testimonies from fans sharing their love for it.

One fan tells the camera: “I literally binge-watched this TV show in less than 48 hours.”

The drama series, which is inspired by BB Easton’s 44 Chapters About 4 Men, sees Sarah Shahi play Billie, a stay-at-home mother reflecting on the heady days of her young adulthood. Billie begins writing down her experiences on her laptop, and when her husband Cooper (Mike Vogel) discovers her notes, he uses them to spice things up in the bedroom.

Needless to say, raunchiness ensues.

Recently, Shahi herself shared her hopes that the show would be renewed.

Taking to Instagram, the actor wrote: “Fingers crossed! We’ve been in the top ten for over a week in 86 countries, including the US and that’s bananas!”

The promise of a second season of Sex/Life delighted fans who have been calling out for more since the series first landed on Netflix earlier this summer.

One fan wrote “so excited omgg”.

Another tweeted: “Can’t wait *bites nails*”.

A third shared that they were looking forward to seeing what happens next after the first season’s gripping cliffhanger.

They wrote: “YES!! I have to know what happens after the end of last season!!”

Netflix haven’t indicated exactly when the new series will air, but until we know, you better believe we’ll be streaming season one.
