But after the first season it just wasn't the same. However, it seems after Escobar and the Cali Cartel, we've a brand new chapter in the war on drugs.
Pablo Escobar met his maker during that famous shootout on the rooftops of Medellin, and since then Narcos fans wondered if the show could survive without El Patron and the beloved DEA Agent, Steve Murphy.
Despite the loss of Boyd Holbrook (Murphy) and Pedro Pascal (Pena), the new season of the hit show, Narcos: Mexico, has got two incredible actors around to fill the void, Michael Pena and Diego Luna.

As for the plot of Narcos: Mexico, the season will explore the origins of the modern drug war by going back to its roots, beginning at a time when the Mexican trafficking world was a loose and disorganised confederation of independent growers and dealers.
It looks incredible.
It comes out on November 16 and it can't come soon enough.
