"I'm never saying no and closing the door on anything totally, but I feel like it would take a small miracle, I don't know I just can't think of at the moment the circumstances that would have to exist for me to go back. It would be weird."So, a small miracle eh, Daniel? It seems Hollywood might just have found that. Apparently, some information about the movie version of the play has been leaked and it's very promising. Not only does it have Daniel as Harry, but Emma Watson and Rupert Grint are also listed for their roles as Hermione and Ron. According to Digital Spy, journalist Jim Hill was speaking on the podcast Unofficial Universal Orlando Podcast, when he shared some insider knowledge saying:
"I have heard that Warner Bros has actually had conversations with Emma, with Rupert, and, of course, Daniel about Cursed Child, because they want this to be, for lack of a better term, Harry Potter: The Force Awakens. They want this trilogy of movies to have the actors that we know and love from the original films, that we watched grow up, as adults."
He also added a timeline for the project which has been penciled in for 2026. Now, before we get too upset that it's MILES away, they don't want to overlap with the Fantastic Beasts movies so they need to wait until the five of them have been released.
2026 would make sense as well because it would allow Daniel and co to be the right age for the their roles.
Either way, it's very exciting that their names are even being suggested.
Here's my interview with Daniel where he said who he would pick to play the role in his place:
