New Love Island trailer drops and reveals essentially nothing about the new series

But OMG

Ah, here!

Love Island has released a new teaser trailer for the next series of the summer reality TV staple.

In terms of actual information, the advert is pretty thin, only really teasing the fact that the show will be going to a stunning destination.

The second snippet showed a departure board that eventually turned all the destinations to simply read “Love Island.”

Voice of narrator and comedian Iain Stirling reads out on the tannoy: “We are now inviting passengers to crack on at Gate 4.”

The closest thing Love Island viewers have had to a guarantee of titillation since the show was called Love Island, or the last three seasons of televised grafting.

It follows another trailer released only six days ago showing Iain and host Caroline Flack’s suitcases going through security, during which Caroline’s phone receives a text. A nod to the main plot point of the show.

The new contestants will be filming in the same Mallorcan villa that saw Kem and Amber take the crown last year, according to the Radio Times,

It’s also believed this series will be the longest running thus far, for a total of eight weeks.

That’s seven days longer than last year, and a whole fortnight longer than the first two series.

Prepare for a battle over the remote because the show typically starts in June, meaning it will run over and beyond the duration of the World Cup.
