Talk about a wave of irony. A cinema in Exeter was forced to close its doors due to flooding – the same day that biblical drama Noah was to hit the big screen.
Staff discovered the excess water at the cinema as they arrived to work after 7am and had to close their doors and the first screening cancelled. (Thankfully the flood wasn’t of the biblical kind).
“We can confirm that there was flooding at Vue Exeter on Friday 4th April due to a fault with an ice machine” a spokesperson for the venue said.
“We are open for business as usual and are working with engineers to get this issue resolved as quickly as possible.”
