Sex and the City was literally the programme that you had to watch when you were a teenager. Let’s be fair, when this first hit Irish screens there were a number of Irish mothers who were slightly concerned about exactly how “promiscuous” Samantha was; it took a lot of explaining to get across that this was a new world where women embraced their sexuality. 7. If at first you don’t succeed…
We all fall flat on our face at some stage. The important thing is to pick yourself up, dust yourself off and keep on trucking.

8. Accept that he’s just not that into you.

9. Never settle for anything less than butterflies.

10. ALWAYS listen to your friends.
Even if you don’t always agree with them, they care about you and they are telling you off for the right reasons.
11. Life does not end at 30.
In fact, life sort of began for the ladies in Sex and the City AFTER 30.
