Can you believe it's been almost five months since Love Island left our screens? Five long months without beautiful people lying about getting sunburnt, without Iain Stirling's voiceover, without the memes (honestly the best part). Yes, we had the Christmas special but we're pretty much just counting down the days now until the 2019 series kicks off. Sadly it'll probably be June before that happens but it looks as though one contestant could be signed up before 2018 is even over. Boxer Anthony Joshua has been linked with an appearance on the show after he hung out with Josh Denzel from this year's series. The pair are actually close pals and were attending a boxing match together. Posting a picture of them together to Instagram, Josh wrote; "@anthony_joshua what a way to end the year. ringside at the boxing with the big man. (Love Island 2019 watch this space)". The rumour quickly took off across social media and it looks like fans are very keen to see him on next year's show.

It may be that after finding love himself in the villa with Kasimir Crossley, Josh is trying to sort out his old pal. Anthony is believed to be single, though he shares a son with ex-girlfriend Nicole Osborne. He has admitted in the past that being a boxer can get in the way of relationships. "My time training means there is not much time for girlfriends," he said in 2017.
