On Rosie’s 18th birthday, the pair kiss – but things go wrong and a miscommunication leads to Alex thinking Rosie simply wants stay BFFs.
Over the next few years, their lives begin to pull them in different directions – Alex heads across the Atlantic to go to university, while Rosie becomes a mum and works towards her dream of running her own home.
Throughout it all, Rosie and Alex continue to wonder if there is more than just friendship between them – even though they can never quite work out the timing.
The fates seem determined to keep them apart, leading Rosie and Alex to have to decide whether to sit everything – including their friendship – to give things a shot between them.
