From Rosewood to Roswell.
One of the stars of
Pretty Little Liars has been announced as the latest cast member of the
Roswell reboot.
Tyler Blackburn, who played Caleb Rivers on the long-running drama, and Nathan Parsons from
The Originals have been cast in the CW series.
According to the
Hollywood Reporter, the cast is rounded out by
New Girl's Michael Vlamis, Jeanine Mason from
Grey's Anatomy,
BrainDead's Lily Cowles and Heather Hemmers of
Hellcats.
The series will be based on the
Roswell High series of books by Melinda Metz.
The publication reports the the pilot will revolve around the daughter of undocumented immigrants who finds out a surprising truth about her teenage crush when she comes back to her hometown of Roswell, New Mexico.
Namely, that he's an alien who has kept is otherworldly abilities under wraps all this time.
The two of them end up reconnecting before starting to uncover a government cover-up that shows there is a greater alien presence on Earth.
But it turns out that the discovery could have a huge - and devastating - effect on their relationship.
The CW series will be taken on by writer, Carina Adly MacKenzie and director, Julie Plec.
And we can't wait to see what they come up with.
