The Kiwi actor first teased the appearance on Instagram on Thursday night, writing:
"See ya on stage with @kygomusic."https://www.instagram.com/p/BhvT3VMAXHp/?utm_source=ig_embed Apa first began playing guitar around the age of 12, later releasing his debut album in 2012, and regularly shares videos of himself playing music on Instagram. And fans were only delighted after he appeared on Coachella's main stage.
Footage of the performance has been doing the rounds on social media, with social media users saying he "slayed" the performance.
One person wrote:
"Oh my god @kj_apa just slayed it. His solo was so incredible and wow wow wow I’m so proud of him. That guitar solo was everything."https://twitter.com/Martaaaaa/status/987545298217197568?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw&ref_url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.stuff.co.nz%2Fentertainment%2Fmusic%2F103315733%2Fkj-apa-slays-it-as-surprise-guest-at-coachella Someone else added:
"I like that KJ Apa took the stage at #coachella is an entirely normal sentence. "Like Archie, people. Archie and his music took the stage."https://twitter.com/rebajesse/status/987941131525636097?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw&ref_url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.stuff.co.nz%2Fentertainment%2Fmusic%2F103315733%2Fkj-apa-slays-it-as-surprise-guest-at-coachella Someone else, thankfully, shared footage of KJ jamming out on stage - which appears, at this time, to be the only video of the performance doing the rounds. https://twitter.com/BeyTaughtMe/status/987596963930456064 Following his appearance, Apa shared a photo of himself on stage, simply captioning it: "Crazy."
