Get the popcorn on and whip out the blanket because one our very favourite Irish movies ever is on TV tonight.

The Snapper will be on telly at 9pm, and what better way to finish off your weekend than by watching the classic flick?

The movie is based on the novel by writer Roddy Doyle, the second book in The Barrytown Trilogy.

The story revolves around a young woman, Sharon Rabbitte, and her shock pregnancy.

It was last aired on St Patrick’s Day and seemed to go down an absolute treat with viewers.

This is the perfect opportunity to watch if you never have.

The Snapper airs tonight on Virgin Media One at 9pm.
