Our favourite judge might be re-joining The Voice UK

We hope this happens.  With The Voice UK moving to ITV from the BBC it was likely that some changes would be made. We knew it would shake things up a bit but the latest update is not what we expected. It looks like Tom Jones could be rejoining for the next series. A source told The Sun, "Tom is keen to get back on the show, something he wouldn’t have been if it was still on the Beeb rather than ITV. It’s being seen as a masterstroke to get him back as he’s worked with them all, including Elvis, and commands respect. “The only thing that’s holding him back is whether it’s too soon after his wife’s death and whether that makes it the right decision.” Tom was a judge from the beginning of the show when it first began in 2012 and then last series he was dropped last minute and replaced by Boy George. At the time the singing legend took to Facebook to criticise the manner in which he was dropped. He said:

"About The Voice UK: In good faith, as part of the team, I’d put the time in my schedule to be involved in Series 5, as I’ve done so for the last 4 years. I’ve supported the show and the BBC since the beginning. I was told yesterday, with no consultation or conversation of any kind, that I would not be returning. "Having been through plenty of transformations throughout the years, I support and admire creative change. But being informed, as a matter of duty and respect, is an important part of creative relationships. This sub-standard behaviour from the executives is very disappointing. I will always admire the courage of the performers who participate in the show, as well as all the production staff who worked tirelessly to make a great family viewing experience for the audience at home. I wish the show well."

He was our favourite judge so if this is one of the changes being made to the new series, it's definitely moving in the right direction. There has been no confirmation from Tom or ITV that he will be rejoining but we really hope it happens.
