An outdoor Halloween movie event is coming to Dublin and that’s date night sorted

Only for the brave.

Denise Curtin

Brave enough to watch a creepy outdoor movie in a walled garden at night?

Yeah, neither are we, but that isn’t going to stop us from trying.

The Bram Stoker Festival is fast approaching and one event they’re holding is called “Creature Features” and it sounds simply spooktacular.

Are you brave enough?

Taking place at the National Botanic Gardens, Dublin 9, the festival is inviting all movie fans to come along for three nights of adults-only horror-comedy screenings within the garden walls.

Set outdoors, the movies will be screened to the backdrop of the gardens and the victorian glasshouse and we’re already feeling squeamish. This is certainly a night for grabbing your partner or the gals and bringing plenty of treats and blankets.

The screenings are taking place over three nights from Friday, October 26 – Sunday, October 28.

They take place at 8pm each night and on Friday night, the first movie is Arachnophobia. Saturday night’s spook is Little Shop of Horrors while Sunday night sees Invasion of the Body Snatchers take to the big screen.

Count us in!
