Patrick Dempsey has shared his favourite episode of Grey’s Anatomy

Long before he was playing Jack, the potential father of Bridget Jone's baby, Patrick Dempsey was under the spotlight for playing Derek Shepard in Grey's Anatomy. McDreamy was a huge part of the show until (spoiler) his character was killed off in 2015. The heartbreak of Grey's Anatomy fans everywhere were too real after this death and we're sure there are lots of people who still aren't over it. Speaking to Cosmopolitan during a Facebook Live interview, the actor shared how he felt about the fate of his character.

"It's a crazy story-line and I knew it would be shocking, and I think it was devastating to very many people, and I don't think a lot of people have got over it yet."

"People keep asking me to come back to life; come back to the show. But unfortunately, he has passed."

Patrick was also asked about his favourite episode of the show. There are so many amazing episodes to choose from, from all the ridiculous tragedies to all the romantic moments. Everyone has their favourite so we were super excited to hear about the actors favourite episode out of the 10 years. His answer, however, was a little boring.

"I have to say my favourite really was the pilot because we didn't know what was going to happen, and there was that sense of discovery.

"And when I saw it for the first time I just thought the music was incredible and it was fun to be a part of such a strong ensemble. That was special.

"We shot the entire first season and we had no idea, and I was like, 'I've got to get my next job because I don't know if this is going to work or not."

We suppose his reason behind it being his favourite makes sense, but of all the ups and downs the characters have faced we were expecting something more memorable.
