An Irish Film with a leading Irish man, you love to see it!

Paul Mescal has been cast in an Irish thriller and now all we want to see is this Irish thriller!

He’s one of our favourite faces of 2020 and we’ll be seeing a lot more of his cheeky smile over the next while because his star is only starting to rise.

After the success of Normal People and the GAA shorts you could put Paul Mescal in anything and we’d watch, there’s something about this actor that we can’t get enough of.

Mescal has signed on for new Irish thriller, Bring Them Down. He’s set to star alongside British actor Tom Burke in the film.

The revenge thriller is based in the west of Ireland and tells the story of a sheep farmer and a neighbour who are in conflict after his sheep are killed by unknown men.

The Irish actor recently finished filming Maggie Gyllenhaal’s directed The Lost Daughter, the cast was filled with stars including Olivia Coleman.

Paul is currently in Australia filming Carmen in Breadalbane, he landed one of the leading roles in the movie which is being directed by Benjamin Millepied, the man behind Black Swan.

Mescal stars alongside up and coming actress Melissa Barrera in the opera, and said he was “honoured to have been cast alongside Melissa, an actor I greatly admire”.

He spoke about the film saying it was “an incredible privilege to be working with Benjamin on his first feature, who has put together such an impressive creative team”.

Tom Burke who stars alongside Paul in the Irish Thriller, Bring Them Down is best known for his role as Orson Welles in David Fincher’s Netflix movie Mank, you may also know him from BBC’s Strike, and Netflix’s The Crown.

No word on when production will start on the film just yet but we’ll keep you in the loop.
