Given the massive opening weekend that the Hunger Games had and due to the popularity of Jennifer Lawrence’s Katniss, the New York Film Academy decided to take a look at the gender bias in the film industry.
There is no secret that the film industry is largely male dominated, on all fronts, critics, producers, directors, leading ladies, but things are beginning to improve slowly but surely.
