Prince Harry surprised Meghan Markle with the ultimate birthday present

The pair celebrated her 36^th birthday in style.

Prince Harry surprised his girlfriend Meghan Markle with a trip to Africa for her birthday. The Prince organised a safari in the romantic destination of Botswana, the same one Prince William used as the setting for his proposal to Kate Middleton. The couple’s holiday has fueled recent rumours that another royal proposal is on the cards. They were seen stepping off their plane in the area with Meghan carrying birthday presents as Harry waved at onlookers.

Meghan flew out from Toronto after finishing filming on the latest season of Suits while Harry was returning from a trip to Sicily before jetting off again with his girlfriend. Botswana is an area well-known to Harry who has spent a lot of time there over the years.

"I've been lucky enough to visit Botswana for more than 20 years and am incredibly fortunate to be able to call it my second home," Prince Harry said back in January. “I first came in 1997, straight after my mum died. My dad told my brother and me we were going to Africa to get away from it all."
