The Princess Switch: Switched Again hits our screens next month

Cassie Stokes

Just when you thought Princesses couldn’t be switched anymore Netflix goes and does it again.

And they also plan on doing it again next year too.

Can I just say, Netflix kills it when it comes to festive movies. Now, when I think of Christmas movies I always think of the streaming service.

And it looks like they’re done it again, because they just announced the release date for the second The Princess Switch film… and plans for a third instalment. Yes, really.

Vanessa Hudgens is back this coming season as the princess… and another princess… and now a cousin of one of the princesses, who’s the image of both princesses. Keep up!

The sequel to last year’s Netflix hit will be out on November 19th and that’s not all, the streaming company is also working on another sequel which is set for a premiere in 2021. Basically, get the popcorn ready for Vanessa Hudgens killing it as all the princesses for the foreseeable!

In last year’s film, Hudgens starred as both Duchess Margaret and Princess Stacy. This year she’s still playing those two, but will also be playing Margaret’s party-girl cousin Fiona, who enters the shenanigans.

In this year’s festive flick, Duchess Margaret inherits the throne to Montenaro. There’s a few things that get in the way of her relationship with her boyfriend Kevin, and naturally, Princess Stacy tried to play cupid.

Vanessa Hudgens told Entertainment Weekly: “After I read [the script] I thought, ‘Ooh man, this is going to be a lot of work. Three of me? Me, myself, and I!

“I was very excited to create yet another character and had such a blast doing so. I was told they wrote in a new character but I had no idea how much fun it would actually be.”

She describes the experience as “fun, challenging, and would totally mess with my head and everyone else’s. Figuring out the shot list describing what we were filming was so confusing.”

The Princess Switch: Switched Again comes to Netflix on November 19.
