Priya’s head is already turning as a recoupling is on the way – and a boy is dumped

Ellen Fitzpatrick

Tonight.

Love Island has been a rollercoaster ride over the last week and just as things seem to be calming down, a new boy has joined the villa.

Typically when somebody new joins, a recoupling is only around the corner and it’s not long before someone is dumped from the island.

And tonight is no different with one boy set to be packing his bags and leaving for good.

After arriving back from the challenge to discover Brett in their back garden, the girls rush to get a glimpse at him and the boys are eager to suss him out.

While he claims to not have a type, he’s certainly caught Priya’s eye, telling the Beach Hut: “Brett is fit. He’s so good looking and he’s a health student! He’s a studier, nearly got a PhD – Dr Brett! I was drooling.”

Later that night Brett receives a text which reads: “Brett. It’s time for your first date! Please ask out the girl of your choice. #modelbehaviour #thechosenone”

Picking Priya, she’s more than happy to be heading off, and Brett admits that it was always going to be her as his first choice.

Priya tells him: “I do feel like you need to have that connection. You need to be on the same level emotionally.

“I like someone who is intelligent and athletic. I usually go for confidence on the outside but a sweetheart on the inside.”

With sparks flying between the two, has she completely forgotten about Matthew back in the villa?

Arriving back, Priya is on a high from her date, but Chloe is quick to ask where Matthew stands.

Priya says: “I’m still confused. I still want to get to know Matt. I don’t want to make my decision too quickly.”

But little does she know, there’s not a whole lot of time to choose as Faye gets a text that says: “Islanders. Tonight, there will be a recoupling. The girls will each choose which boy they want to couple up with. The boy not picked to be in a couple will be dumped from the Island. #grabaman #girlboss.”

Gathering around the fire pit, the girls will pick a boy one by one, leaving one poor soul all alone and heading home.

Love Island will air tonight on Virgin Media One at 9 pm.
