Rebel Wilson For ‘Absolutely Fabulous’ Film Role

One of our favourite actresses is going to appear in the big screen adaptation of one of the funniest shows ever made. According to reports Rebel Wilson has been cast in the Absolutely Fabulous film after she wrote to Jennifer Saunders asking her for a role. The star and writer of the comedy series confirmed during a recent interview for The Jonathan Ross Show that Rebel is due to appear in the flick. Jennifer Saunders and Joanna Lumley as Edina and Patsy. “She's in it! She wrote to me and said ‘can I be in it please?’” she told the chat show host before saying that she wrote the script as part of a bet. “Did I tell you that I’d had a bet with Dawn (French) that I would have to pay her £10,000 if I didn’t produce (the film) by the end of the year?” While the first draft is written, Saunders said there’s still a long way to go before it’s done and dusted. “There’s some stuff I like, some stuff I’ve cut out. It’ll be an ongoing process until it’s actually finished.” We don't care how long it takes, Patsy and Edina are making a comeback. Fabulous darling.
