We finally have a release date for Hocus Pocus 2

Bring it on.

For years there have been rumours that a Hocus Pocus sequel was on the horizon but every time it would turn out to be false. That was until last year when Disney themselves confirmed that they would soon be producing Hocus Pocus 2. Only a couple of months after Disney's announcement residents in Boston and Salem reported seeing sets being built for the film, but there was still no release date in sight. Until now.

Bette Midler, as well as the rest of the cast, tweeted yesterday to announce the release date for Hocus Pocus 2 and we are so excited. Midler shared an image of the Hocus Pocus 2 poster saying: "Sistaaaahs! It's been 300 years... But we’re BACK! #HocusPocus2 arrives Fall 2022 on DisneyPlus." As much as we were hoping that the movie would be released this year, after waiting for over 20 years for a sequel, we can wait one year more. There's no doubt Disney had probably hoped to have Hocus Pocus 2 filmed sooner, but due to the pandemic it was delayed, which has been the case with many films and TV shows. On the Hocus Pocus 2 IMDB listing we can see that the Sanderson sisters will indeed be back as Sarah Jessica Parker, Kathy Najimy, Bette Midler are included in the cast line up. No other cast members have been announced just yet, so we don't know if the characters of Max and Dani will be returning. Either way, can't wait.
