Little Connie Talbot wowed the judges on Britain’s Got Talent with her adorable rendition of Somewhere Over The Rainbow back in 2007.
We’ve watched the YouTube video so many times that it’s almost as if she is stuck in a time warp and will never age.
Connie is set to release a new album this year.
However, she is now 14 years of age, and that first stellar performance for Simon Cowell was a whopping eight years ago.
Time flies when you’re having fun, and Connie has been doing just that.
Although she missed out on the winning spot to Paul Potts on the 2007 series of BGT, the singer has gone on to release four albums since her debut.
And she is not stopping there as we can expect a brand new offering from Connie in September.
The singer is now 14 years old.
She is hoping that this album will do as well as her first, which sold 250,000 copies.
That wouldn’t be surprising considering that the teen has penned many of the songs herself and has even learned to play several musical instruments to add to her “new sound”.
Speaking to the Mail Online, Connie revealed: “I’ve written most of the songs myself this time around. That’s been a great experience.”
Connie’s first album sold 250,000 copies.
The young vocalist recently travelled to the US to hone her songwriting skills, and even worked with one of Beyoncé’s writers Toby Gad.
She added: “Going to America and songwriting was amazing.
“It was an honour being around people like Toby who write, and learning from them.”
Connie was a BGT finalist in BGT.
Speaking about her little sister’s success, Mollie Talbot revealed: “She doesn’t expect anything, so anything she gets is a bonus.
“She is changing into a young woman.”
Here’s a reminder of Connie’s first charming performance.
