Richard Hillman is doing Coronation Street themed tours this year or, rather, the actor who played Richard Hillman is. Brian Capron is going to be reprising his role as the iconic soap villain this year as we get closer to spooky season and people get a taste from some Manchester-based scares. And no, he won't be driving any cars into any rivers, but listen, he'll be there and that's the main thing. Capron will be taking part in a special Corrie tour in the lead up to Halloween, telling attendees some spooky stories about his character and all the people he tried to - and did - murder. "I had some fantastic storylines during my time on Coronation Street," he said. "Richard was such a sinister and eerie character - I’ve certainly got some ghastly stories to share from his years of murderous crimes!" Indeed. Hillman was best known for his crimes including the attempted murder of the entire Platt family, the murder of Maxine Peacock who he killed in her own home, and the murder of ex-wife Patricia. Basically, a load of murders. He drowned in the aforementioned Platt incident while the rest of the family were pulled to safety. And now, a few lucky people are going to be able to wander the streets with him this Halloween. Delightful.
