The schedule for Dublin’s Chinese New Year celebrations has been released

It’s nearly upon us.

Dublin Chinese New Year Festival returns to celebrate the lunar year with man’s best friend for the Year Of The Dog.

The festival already has a jam packed schedule full of engaging talks, dog-themed events, delicious food and tours that will have you running all over the city.

The festival celebrates diversity and helps to further Sino-Irish relations through an array of festive celebrations.

Here’s a list of what’s coming up:

  • Friday Lunchtime Chinese Culture Talks – February 16 & 23, 3 March
  • Rock Dog screening – February 16
  • Taste of Asia Programme with Carrolls Irish Gifts Lunar Festival – February 17 & 24
  • Let’s Dance – It’s Hip to be Square – February 18
  • Dog Life Drawing Classes – February 22
  • Spring Festival Tour – February 24 & 25
  • The Curious History of Dogs – February 28

A celebration of Chinese culture in Dublin the festival is an initiative of Dublin City Council in conjunction with the Dublin Chinese New Year Advisory Panel which is made up of a range of representatives from the Dublin and Chinese communities in Dublin.
