Screenwriter and Producer Shonda Rhimes To Pen Her Own Book

Shonda Rhimes is the brains behind Grey's Anatomy and Scandal and the news she's set to write her own book made us very happy indeed. Year of Yes, which will be released later this year, will delve into the talented screenwriter's personal life, revolving around her decision to "say yes to things that scare her". In a statement released by publishers Simon & Schuster today, Shonda said: "Saying yes for an entire year turned out to be one of the most amazing decisions I have ever made. It was also a little insane, a lot terrifying, and sometimes wildly embarrassing. "So this is not a story I ever planned to share with anyone. However, once Simon & Schuster asked me, I had no choice — what else could I say but yes?" Seeing as Shonda is the woman who gave us the Meredith and Derek love story not to mind Olivia Pope and her badass ways, we're more than a little excited for this.
