Shonda Rhimes's first project with Netflix has been revealed - and it sounds unreal.
The Grey's Anatomy producer will be taking on the story of Anna Delvey, the recent so-crazy-that-it-could-only-be-real tale of how a wannabe socialite conned everyone around her for millions of dollars.
27-year-old Delvey, who is currently being held without bond in Rikers Island, posed as a German heiress who connected many of New York City's elite.
Last year, she ended up being indicted on six counts of grand larceny and attempted grand larceny, as well as the theft of services.
She has also been recently profiled in a number of pieces, including
New York Magazine's piece,
How Anna Delvey Tricked New York's Party People.
That is the article, according to
Entertainment Weekly, that the series will be based on.

The publication report that Shondaland and Netflix acquired the rights to the article, with Rhimes attached to write.
The series will be the first one she has created as part of her four-year deal with
Netflix.
The move last year marked a split from ABC, the network where Rhimes had built her career with shows like
Grey's Anatomy, Scandal and
How To Get Away With Murder.
Netflix CCO Ted Sarandos said at the time:
“Shonda Rhimes is one of the greatest storytellers in the history of television.
“Her work is gripping, inventive, pulse-pounding, heart-stopping, taboo-breaking television at its best.
"I’ve gotten the chance to know Shonda and she’s a true Netflixer at heart — she loves TV and films, she cares passionately about her work, and she delivers for her audience. We’re so excited to welcome her to Netflix.”
