One of Coronation Street’s favourites is going to miss the soap’s live episode later this month.
Simon Gregson, who plays Steve McDonald in the show, will not appear in the special due to illness.

The news means that all of the scenes involving him have had to be rewritten.
The live episode, which marks the 60th anniversary of the programme, is due to air on September 23rd (check out the preview below).
