We can't wait...

On top of the very exciting news that we may possibly see a third Father of the Bride film, we have some other news that our childhood selves would be delighted to hear; Steven Spielberg will be taking on a very endeering project.

According to Slash Film, the director of ET is apparently working on an adaptation of Roald Dahl’s The BFG.

The website is reporting that about half a dozen films were under consideration by Spielberg but he has decided to go with the Roald Dahl classic along with a Cold War thriller which will star Tom Hanks.

Melissa Mathison wrote the screenplay for the film, which is based on the 1982 book written by Roald Dahl. The BFG tells the story of a Big, Friendly, Giant who befriends the young Sophie. The BFG is an outcast in his own world as he refuses to eat little children.

The BFG is due to hit theatres on the 1st July, 2016. Looks like it’s going to be a good couple of years for Spielberg.
