It seems like Taylor Swift just can't put a foot wrong lately. The singer has now been cast in The Giver alongside the likes of legends like Meryl Streep and Jeff Bridges.
According to Slash Film, Swift will play the role of Rosemary, one of the former students of the Giver.

Many have been waiting a long time for this novel to hit the big screen. Based on the book by Lois Lowry, The Giver tells the story of young Jonas who lives in apparent Utopia where the world is free of pain, colour, war, history even emotions.
Jonas is nominated to become the Receiver which means he will have all of the memories of the old World transferred to him. Although he will now know what colour and wars mean, he must keep his emotions to himself.

Streep will be the society's leader or Chief Elder while Bridges has been cast as the previous Receiver who will transfer all his memories to Jonas. Katie Holmes has also signed on to play Jonas' mother while Peter Skarsgard will play his father.
The film is due for release in August of next year.
