The cast of ‘Glee’ honour Cory Monteith three years after his death

Yesterday marked the third anniversary of Cory Monteith’s death.

As one of the main characters on the TV show Glee, fans everywhere were shocked to learn about his death. Cory, who was 31 when he died, was a firm favourite on the show and was dating his co-star and on-screen girlfriend Lea Michelle.

Now, three years on, the cast of Glee have paid tribute to the actor with photos and posts dedicated to their friend. Lea Michelle led the tributes by posting an image to Instagram with the caption:

“We may not have gotten to share a lifetime together.. But the memories.. they’re the best of my life.. Love you Cory ♥.”

Others from the cast, including Matthew Morrison, Naya Rivera, Chord Overstreet, Heather Morris, Jenna Ushkowitz and Kevin McHale, shared their photos and memories of the star.

Three years ago my best friend wasabout to get married, I was 7 months pregnant and was delivered the news that Cory had passed I was weary to get too emotional in fear that I would go into labor too early. Not only was cory the most genuine, always the guy to stop and say hi to fans, but he made everyone around him laugh….obv this photo is proof. He was our family. We miss u bud. #3yearswithoutcory
