‘The Fault In Our Stars’ Wins Big At This Year’s MTV Movie Awards

The Fault in Our Stars was one of the big winners at this year’s MTV Movie Awards which took place in Los Angeles on Sunday night.

The movie picked up the main award for Movie of The Year with actress Shailene Woodley bagging the award for Best Female Performance.

“He gave this world a beautiful masterpiece, a gift in The Fault in Our Stars,” Woodley said about the book’s author John Green.

“It changed my life when I read it and being a part of this film dramatically influenced who I am today.”

“And his words will transcend time because they transcend any age,” she continued. “There’s not one single demographic that will not be affected by the wisdom and the compassion and the beauty that he laces into every single thing in his life.”

She also collected another award along with co-star Ansel Elgort for Best Kiss.

Other big winners on the night included Bad Neighbours, which won three awards as Zac Efron scooped the award for Best Shirtless Performance, Best Duo was won by Zac Efron and Dave Franco while Seth Rogan and Rose Byrne won Best WTF Moment.

Meanwhile, Bradley Cooper won the award for Best Male Performance for American Sniper while Robert Downey Jr was honoured with a MTV Generation Award.

The awards, which were hosted by Amy Schumer, also saw The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 1, receive two awards: Best Musical Moment and Best On-Screen Transformation.
