Last month, Paige Turley and Finn Tapp were crowned the winners of the first ever winter Love Island.

And while it’s only been a few weeks since their victory, it looks the first contestant for the next series of Love Island – which is set to kick off this summer – has been revealed.

Influencer Nikita Rai is said to have met with Love Island bosses about taking part int eh series, after she was reportedly lined up as a bombshell for the winter Love Island.

“Nikita was initially lined up for the winter series as a bombshell, however the producers believe she would be better suited for the summer series as they’ve not yet had anyone like her in the original line up before,” an insider told The Mirror

In the finale for winter Love Island, Laura Whitmore confirmed that the series would be returning for the summer months.

And while nothing has been confirmed just yet (it is still ages away, after all), fans reckon they have figured out the start date for the summer series.

Reddit users figured out that Love Island typically begins on the Monday of the first week of June. And this means that if the summer series were to follow suit, it would premiere on either June 1 or June 8.

“While there is no set date for the summer version of the show, for the last few seasons Love Island has kicked off on June 3 and 4, respectively — both dates being on a Monday,” they explained.

“Based on this information, we expect the new season to start on either Monday 1st June or Monday 8th June.”
