The first look at the new Netflix show we’re all going to be addicted to this year is here

Keeley Ryan

Meet the citizens of New Ham.

There’s no denying that Netflix have been absolutely on top of their game so far this year.

From Russian Doll to Dirty John; Velvet Buzzsaw to FYRE, there has been no shortage of binge-worthy documentaries, TV series or films to watch.

And their brand new series looks to be no exception.

Hailed as a contemporary take on Lord of the Flies – with just a splash of Gossip Girl – The Society is one of those shows we just *know* we’re going to be addicted to once it arrives on Netflix.

Basically, it is about a group of teenagers that get transported to a facsimile of their wealthy New England town without any trace of their parents.

Their newfound freedom will be fun… but it will also be very dangerous.

As they struggle to figure out what has happened to them and how to get home, they must establish order and form alliances if they want to survive.

There is no exact release date for the 10-episode first season just yet, but we do know it will be arriving in May.

The cast includes Rachel Keller, Kathryn Newton, Alex Fitzalan, Kristine Froseth, Jacques Colimon, Sean Berdy, Toby Wallace, and Gideon Adlon.

Olivia DeJonge, Alex MacNicoll, Natasha Liu Bordizzo, Jose Julian, Salena Qureshi, Jack Mulhern, and Grace Victoria Cox also star.
