Meanwhile, Helena Bonham Carter will be stepping into the role of Princess Margaret, which was previously played by Vanessa Kirby.
The series also stars Erin Doherty as Princess Anne, Ben Daniels as Lord Snowdon, Jason Watkins as Prime Minister Harold Wilson and Charles Dance as Lord Mountbatten.

The first look at the new season comes as Olivia Colman confessed that her "very strong eyelids" meant there was going to be a continuity error when season three lands on Netflix.
In an interview with US Vogue, she explained that she was unable to wear coloured contact lenses while filming - which left her with the wrong eye colour.
Both Queen Elizabeth II and Claire Foy's eyes are blue, whereas Olivia's are brown.
Recalling how tough it had been to put the contacts in, the actress said:
"It was basically like an exorcism: 'Just hold me down and thrust it in!'"
