Rising up and making a splash.

The first trailer for the sixth season of Grace and Frankie is here.

In Grace and Frankie, Jane Fonda (“Grace”) and Lily Tomlin (“Frankie”) star as two women whose lives are suddenly turned upside down when their husbands reveal they are gay and leave them for each other.

Both sparring partners and partners-in-crime, they form an unlikely bond to face an uncertain future together and discover a new definition of “family,” with laughter, tears and plenty of mood enhancers along the way.

But as the new season picks up, Frankie has been left reeling by the fact that her BFF has gotten hitched.

The sixth season of Grace and Frankie will land on Netflix on January 15. But in the meantime, you can check out the trailer below.

The series was renewed for a seventh and final season, making it one of the longest running Netflix series.

The series kicked off back in 2015 and has since been nominated for several Emmys, a handful of GLAADs, and even a Golden Globe.

Fonda and Tomlin said that they were “delighted and heartbroken” that the show has reached its seventh and final season.

“We’re so grateful that our show has been able to deal with issues that have really connected to our grand generation,” they said. “And their kids, and amazingly, their kids as well.”

“We’ll miss these two old gals, Grace and Frankie, as much as many of their fans will, but we’ll still be around. We’ve outlasted so many things – just hope we don’t outlast the planet.”
