
There are so many films on TV on a weekly basis, we thought we would draw your attention to some of the better movies that you can check out from the comfort of your own home. Here are seven of the best films that are on TV this week.
1. Must Love Dogs, Monday, ITV2, 8.30pm.
We'll admit, it's not the greatest love story of all time but we're pretty sure that on a Monday night you're going to need to just chill out and watch John Cusack woo another woman.
2. Die Hard, Tuesday, Film 4, 9pm.
Sure, it's not Christmas but who doesn't want to see Bruce Willis in a wife-beater top trying to take down a German villain? That's right. No one.
3. The King's Speech, Wednesday, RTÉ One, 9.35pm.
Colin Firth picked up the Oscar for his amazing performance in the King's Speech and it's easy to see why; this is just brimming with charm and great performances. If you have seen it, check it out again. It's well worth it.
4. Pride and Glory, Thursday, Sky Movies Crime and Thriller, 9pm.
Unbelievably underrated, Pride and Glory told the story of a family thrown into crisis when that one of them has been involved in a corruption scandal.
5. In America, Friday, TV3, 9pm.
A Jim Sheridan classic, In America, featuring a stellar performance from Samantha Morton, revolves around a family who have emigrated to the United States.
6. Pitch Perfect, Saturday, Sky Movies Comedy, 8.50pm.
The film that really put Anna Kendrick and Rebel Wilson on the map, Pitch Perfect tells the story of a college student who ends up joining the Bellas, an all-girl singing group.
7. The Magdalene Sisters, Sunday, TV3, 9pm.
Arguably one of the strongest and memorable Irish films, the Magdalene Sisters is based on the true story of the cruel treatment women in Ireland suffered in the Magdalene laundries.
