The Late Late Show are looking for Ireland’s greatest love stories

Keeley Ryan

It’s almost that time of year again.

Yes, that’s right: the Valentine’s Day edition of the Late Late Show is almost here.

The annual special episode of the chat show will be returning to our screen a little less than a week ahead of the big day, on February 8.

And while RTÉ recently renewed their appeal for singletons who are hoping to be struck by cupid’s arrow, they’re also searching for Ireland’s greatest love story.

Host Ryan Tubridy explained they were “searching up and down the country” for romantic tales of true love.

He continued:

“Maybe you’ve travelled the world but ended up falling head over heels with your next door neighbour, or maybe you’re celebrating a special wedding anniversary and would like to tell us where it all began – whatever your story is, we want to hear from you!”

If you know anyone who fits the bill – or even want to apply –  simply e-mail [email protected] or post a letter to Greatest Love of All, Late Late Show, PO Box 170, RTÉ, Dublin 4.

Meanwhile, the show are still looking for singletons to take part in the Valentine’s Day episode.

Tubridy, who will be playing cupid on the night, explained:

“We want to hear from anyone who is looking for a little romance in their lives. In this age of dating apps and social media, we’re going back to basics and want to spark some love – on live TV!

“As always, the show will be great fun, and you never know, there could be someone for everyone in the audience.”

You can apply to be part of the show here.

  • The Late Late Show Valentine’s Special will air on Friday, February 8th at 9:35pm on RTÉ One.
