The Late Late Show audience applications are now open – here’s how to apply

Jody Coffey

It’s almost that time of year again.

Soon we will bid farewell to the summer holidays and say hello to the Autumn/Winter season and, with that, Friday nights watching The Late Late Show.

We also welcome Patrick Kielty onto our screens as he takes up his position as host of the chat show for the very first time on September 15th at 9.35pm.

Many of us will be glued to our televisions to watch Kielty take over the reigns of The Late Late Show from Ryan Tubridy, however, you can now apply to see the Northern Irish comedian from the audience seats of the RTÉ studio.

RTÉ are now accepting applications for fans to join in and see the new host joined by an array of special guests each Friday night.

However, before you apply, there are a number of things to be aware of:

  • You must be over the age of 18 to apply.
  • If chosen, you cannot transfer them to another person.
  • You will not be contacted by anyone other than a member of the RTÉ team should you be successful.

When filling out the application, try to have a funny or interesting story at the ready as this could be your one-way ticket to a seat in the audience.

It will also ask if you are willing to contribute on air if called upon. However, it’s unclear whether your answer affects the outcome of your application.

Is there something happening in your local area that has everyone talking? Use it! You never know, it could become a talking point for the live show and get some important issues out there.

Once you submit, it’s important to note that you will not receive a confirmation email.

But don’t worry, if you have clicked ‘submit’, RTÉ have your application.

Best of luck!
