Madness.

The most talked about TV show of 2017 is coming back and it’s looking for applicants. On Sunday we announced that applications for the 2018 series were officially open to the public (and remain open until April), but on the date they opened, the show was hit with a staggering number of applicants.

Yep, it has been announced that the Love Island casting agency received a mega 60,000 applicants on launch day… 60,000!

The show which attracted over 2.4 million viewers last year is set to be bigger and better than ever before.

Launching the careers of many of its contestants including Montana Brown and winners Kem Cetinary and Amber Davies – the show proved to be very popular and it looks like many hopefuls want their chance at the same taste of fame.

Incase you’ve been on a telly detox and need a recap, Love Island is a reality TV series where young singletons head to a villa in the sun, all with the hopes of finding “the one” – but as you can expect there is PLENTY of drama, tears, catfights, fist fights, broken objects and a lot of booze.
