The storyline for Asan N'jie's exit from Emmerdale has been 'revealed'
The actor joined the soap as Ellis Chapman last year.
Asan N'jie's Emmerdale exit storyline has reportedly been revealed - days after the actor was sacked from the soap.
The 25-year-old joined the soap as Ellis Chapman last year. Earlier this week, his contract was terminated "with immediate effect" after an incident at the TV Choice Awards.
According to The Sun, the actor hasn't filmed any exit scenes - but his character is expected to be phased out next month, as mum Jessie flies to Dubai.
An insider told the publication:
"Ellis's mum Jessie is leaving the show later this year, and it's likely that Ellis will go along with her.
"It's likely he'll be written out by another character announcing that he's joined Jessie in Dubai.
"He hasn't filmed exit scenes so they'll either have to cut him out altogether or refilm scenes without him. It's proved a nightmare for the show's writers."
N'jie was suspended from the soap earlier this week, after he is said to have threatened Hollyoaks' Jamie Lomas.
After the news broke, the actor issued a statement where he apologised for what happened.
“My behaviour at the TV Choice Awards was completely unacceptable and very much out of character.
“I sincerely apologise to everybody who has been affected especially Jamie Lomas, the whole Emmerdale team, our audience, ITV, my family, and the organisers of the TV Choice Awards.
“I am devastated, accept full responsibility for my actions and I am determined to learn from this.”
