There’s no denying that Netflix have been on the top of their game lately when it comes to romantic comedies.
Over the last two years or so, the streaming service have unveiled a series of swoon-worthy original films that we just haven’t been able to get enough of.
From Set It Up to The Kissing Booth; Alex Strangelove to To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before, they’ve become our favourite go-tos when looking for something to watch.
And that’s not even including the festive-themed ones, with romances involving both Christmas and princes.
Now, the streaming service have unveiled the trailer for their newest rom-com, Someone Great – and it may be our favourite one yet.
It stars Jane the Virgin’s Gina Rodriguez as Jenny, an aspiring music journalist who has just landed her dream job at an iconic magazine.
When she tells her boyfriend of nine years her big news, he decides to end things with her rather than do long distance.
To nurse her broken heart, Jenny calls on her two best friends – Erin (DeWanda Wise) and Blair (Brittany Snow) – for one epic and outrageous last day in New York City.
From writer/director Jennifer Kaytin Robinson – the creator of MTV’s Sweet/Vicious – Someone Great is described as a “hilarious and heartfelt story of friendship, love, and what it means to let go of your twenties and enter adulthood.”
