There’s a new Sherlock Holmes on the way and it’s the last person we expected

We're very intrigued.  Hollywood is about to make a new Sherlock Holmes movie but it will be a new version with a comedic tone. Previous Sherlock's have been Robert Downey Jr, Benedict Cumberbatch and Michael Caine but the latest actor to take on the iconic role is very unexpected. None other than Will Ferrell will be our next Mr Holmes and he will be back with John C Reilly for the movie. The pair have previously starred together on Step Brothers and Talladega Nights and make the perfect combination. According to Deadline, the new movie will be called Holmes and Watson and will be made by Sony Pictures. Interestingly, Sacha Baron Cohen was due to star alongside Will in the new movie and play his sidekick Watson but when something else came up which meant he couldn't do it they drafted in John instead. They are due to begin filming at the end of the year but there is no official date for release or anything like that just yet. Funny enough earlier this year I spoke with Adam McKay, the genius behind Step Brothers and Talladega Nights, and he told me about an upcoming comedy with Will and John where they will play two guys protecting the American border.
